Rule Your Emotions - In Any Situation with Dr. Natasha Sharma 

Most actions we take in life are made based on how we FEEL, not on what we think or logic. Since our actions determine the quality of experiences we have, the starting point to creating any type of positive change starts with ruling your emotions. But how do you control your emotions (and behaviour) when you cannot control your environment? If your current reality makes living out your personal and professional values a challenge? If your community does not truly value wellness? If the past two years have taught us anything, it is that we cannot always control life. But we CAN control how we feel and what we do. In this motivating, energetic, and highly interactive session, Dr. Sharma will teach the skills needed rule your emotions - independent of your life circumstances. 

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: 

  • identify and describe the top three mental health concerns facing the world today; 

  • dissect the difference between healthy and unhealthy emotions; 

  • explain and demonstrate how we create emotions, identify what upsets them, take ownership of feelings for personal freedom; 

  • employ Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to challenge, reframe, and overcome negative thinking (SHIFT mindset); 

  • implement the ACT NOW system to take charge of their emotions and choose how they feel and behave in any circumstance; 

  • employ inner peace and harmony techniques through the "Art of Letting Go" and "Focusing on What You Can Control;" 

  • integrate the science of kindness and compassion into a daily practice for a happier, healthier life.
